As USF shifts into summer, thousands of new graduates are entering the workforce prepared to meet industry demand and elevate the talent pipeline across Tampa Bay, the state and nation. Their final semester at USF was packed with milestone moments: a record-setting donation, multiple national championships and top-tier rankings that affirm the value of a USF degree.

For years, they hid in plain sight, lifting spirits and energizing crowds as the university’s beloved mascot, Rocky D. Bull. Now that they’ve graduated, three Rockys have taken off their masks and share what it’s really like to be the face of USF.
USF’s historic invitation to join the Association of American Universities has taken what many in Tampa Bay have once considered a “best-kept secret” to an unprecedented new level. Being an AAU member is a tremendous milestone for USF as it formalizes USF's position as a leading research university. USF is the first public university in Florida to be invited to join the AAU in nearly 40 years and is now one of only two institutions from the State University System of Florida to serve as an AAU member.
